Kevin McKeegan is a Professor at UCLA and former chair of the EPSS. He is Director of the UCLA Ion Microprobe Facility. His research interests are cosmochemical problems relating to nucleosynthesis and solar-system origin, the development of techniques for oxygen-isotope measurements. His paper on the composition of the solar wind provided the first information about the composition of oxygen in the Sun.
